Hello you wonderful and amazing people that make up this forum. I do hope you are having a super week and enjoying this warmer weather we are having.

I do note that on the NASDAQ Meta dropped to a low of around 90 USD in November 2022 and has steadily risen over a period of 6 months to around 245 USD. I was kindly wondering about maybe looking to try formulate a strategy for trying to invest on a share term basis, with these dips in strong stocks. I know this is more easily said than done. I kindly wondered please if anyone knows the reason or combination of factors that led this stock to drop to such a low in November 2022 please and then to steadily increase again? I am just trying to learn more about investing and what contributes to fluctuations in the share price, i would be very thankful and grateful for any support you can kindly give.

Sending you lots of good wishes and i do hope you enjoy the rest of the week. All the best in your investing and hope you are happy. Take care.
Short Term Investing is actually not investing but swing trading.
Regarding META, GOOG/GOOGL are already spotted earlier on here before they are making a run.
It could work with the odd is on your side (not 100%) by
    1. Understanding the intrinsic value (e.g fair value) of a quality company stock, financial statement, Balance Sheet of a company so a person will know when a quality company stock is currently trading undervalued or overvalued.
    2. Using technical analysis by using technical indicators. the main point here is to observe volume vs price, the trend. Keep in mind, in short term a price of an asset is also influenced by exuberance not just the fundamental of a company. But in the long term they are always back to fundamental of the company.
    3. Observing the News regularly especially those which have a great impact on a particular stock. A good example is share buyback, share dilution, earning season, changing management, fraud, redundancies etc.
The key to skills is Fundamental Analysis, Technical Analysis, Reading the news regularly to be adapted with emotion, style of the person. It is not simple but could be learnt by many people with average capability. There are various platforms that are offering a paper, training account for a person to learn and to adjust their emotions before plunging their feet into the water
This is just personal opinion, not an advice. Certainly we take our own gain, but we also take our own loss for the decision we make by ourself.
