Hello
I am currently half way through a 2 year fixed British Gas tariff which has a £100 exit fee per fuel
Brilliant gas now have a cheaper 1 year fix tariff , can I swap to this tariff without paying exit fees as it's with same company, or will I still have to pay exit fees ?
Thanks

From the BG website:Personally, I would still get confirmation in writing.1

Check the T & C's for your tariff. Supplier exit, or tariff exit?No free lunch, and no free laptop1

I am on a fix until July 31 2023. I went online to transfer from the fix to the standard var Tarif. However according to their online chat service I would be charged the exit fee of £75.00. I explained I was not leaving BG just transferring to another Tarif and even quoted the following and they assured me this was incorrect.
"It's quick and easy to change tariffs online if you're already with us. Simply access your account online, go to 'tariff switch' and pick your new tariff. It'll take us 24 hours to switch you over and you won't have to pay any exit fees"
I then spoke to someone on the phone and advised I would not be charged the exit fee.
If the OP decides to change do it by phoning as the chat service does not give the correction information.
