Frozen bank accounts

3 years ago my husband paid in a cheque from his pension company. For no given reason about a month after this, Barclays froze the bank account. Long story short, we had to involve a solicitor and the bank was served a court order to release the funds by a certain date. Two weeks on and they have ignored the order and we still can’t access funds. The solicitor is now having to deal with it again. Also about two months ago - there was an issue with a payment going into another bank. It was a refund from Avis and RBS have now frozen that bank account. Has anyone else had similar issues?

I suggest you look at CIFAS or National Hunter and Dsar to see if anything untoward is registered. If there is a court order for the bank to release the funds and they have ignored it, then Barclays are in contempt of court and need to release your funds today, and they will be dealt with accordingly.2
