Ah come on....I drive a 2010 diesel golf....I mean suggesting that I sell the 13 year old banger to CYCLE 12 miles each way to work and work a 12 hour day.....that's taking the A23....I imagine if I went cross country it would be more like 18 miles each way. You can't come in to work as the assistant manager, dripping in seat with wind swept hair to start your 10 hour day like that. When you come on here for advice, you're literally on the floor with anxiety and worry...I mean, what a stupid suggestion!0

I appreciate that your health might affect your perception or recall, but even so, there's no need to be snippy. Perhaps you could look back at your posts - there was a lot of concern & support when you were considering selling your flat & moving to an area where you had no family or friends, no job, no health support & actually had no knowledge of.PM22 said:I disagree that quite a lot of help was given. The bills were the bills, no cutbacks to be made….I only remember the cycling comment, that was a huge kick in the teeth and hurt like hell….who needs friends when I’ve got you lot2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Exactly. That was me in my desperate state and I was told to sell my car and cycle 24 miles round trip to work. What time would I have to leave for work, midnight? What would cycling 120 miles a week do to my mental health even if it was do-able? It was stupid advice from a stupid poster to try to find fault with my budget...frankly it was very upsetting at a time when I was very fragile. I don't even have a bike so maybe if I'd said that they would have suggested I walk?0

This is the bit that stands out to me. If you were not paying back your creditors, could you live on your income and only your current outgoings? Not paying creditors is a step many people have to take.stac1990 said:
I am now in agreement to pay back the creditors so my rating is improving slowly however not quickly enough and I am not entitled to any financial help from the government because I work and earn just over the threshold.
But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,Had the whole of their cash in his care.
