If I have two or more current accounts with the same bank, can I switch one of them away while keeping the others?
For example, if I open an additional current account with Starling/Chase, can I switch one of them away to gain the switching offer of another bank?

Of course! That’s completely possible, and what many of us do regularly. It’s only that one selected current account which is switched.2

There's no problem doing that, switches are done 1:1.

Pretty sure you cannot switch in or out of an additional personal current account with starling
Edit - you can’t (https://help.starlingbank.com/personal/topics/additional-gbp-account/who-can-get-an-additional-personal-current-account/)

Chase has recently joined (yesterday IIRC) so I doubt anyone has fully completed a CASS switch yet. They also reportedly haven’t fully rolled it out (only rolled out to some users thus far).
Reports indicate you likely can, see ~ https://community.monzo.com/t/chase-bank-uk-chat/112518/6476
Other posts report chase is strict on banning accounts though, so you’ll need to think if it is worth the risk to you.If you want me to definitely see your reply, please tag me @forumuser7 Thank you.

Any update on this? As in, has anyone tried it successfully: opening a secondary account linked to the Chase debit card and using CASS to switch that secondary Chase account to, say, First Direct to get the £175 switch incentive... without losing your main Chase account and its benefits (linked Saver and cashback, etc.)?

Just to note I have switched several Santander 'everyday current accounts' and Nationwide 'flex accounts'. You can hold a number of them concurrently ... Santander (no limit) Nationwide (max 4 current accounts).0

Thinking of doing it myself, it took seconds to open an account, but I was told the main account would close, however, I've seen a couple of post elsewhere where people have alleged to have done this successfully. They just didn't give the debit card number and the say main account stayed open.
This site has saved me a fortune :money: ...it's also cost me a fortune!
