Does Booking Accommodation Direct Have Any Any Benefits

I was looking to book a weekend away in Blackpool for a large group meetup.
I have found a lovely-looking holiday home on Airbnb but also came across the same place on another website where you can book directly with the owners.
Do you think there are any benefits to booking directly with the owners, apart from the obvious of saving a bit of money?
