Dla help urgently needed

Hi,
I filled out my child's dla in January 23, got a letter from them saying they have my form, got this in March.
I received a letter on 25th April 2023, stating I would receive £502 11.9.2018 to 5.6.23. Obviously the wrong date, so I called them. My award hasn't been looked at.
He also told me I will get the dla payment on 30th May and carers allowance I will get on the first week of June, as if this makes it any better. I asked him, if my award hasn't been looked at in time, will the award stop? He said yes.
I also received a letter from carers allowance and they have said that due to my dla stopping i will no longer receive carers allowance from 6.6.23.
But its not stopping its just not been looked at yet.
My child has asd, I'm her main carer and I don't currently work. Not sure what to do next. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

There are backlogs with DLA decisions. As the DLA isn't due to end for another 6 weeks then hopefully a decision will be made before then. If awarded at least mid rate care then you'll be able to contact carers allowance and tell them.

Yes i know but the existing award doesn't end for another 6 weeks.
