Hong Kong HK$ accounts

I have an account with Wise which give you virtual accounts in multiple international currencies. They provide you with individual account details so that people can send you money directly in those currencies. Unfortunately, Wise don't do this for Hong Kong dollar accounts. Is there any similar service that does? I've checked with Revolut, and they don't either.

You could open a current account with HSBC which will give you access to its global money account: https://www.hsbc.co.uk/current-accounts/products/global-money/
You are able to hold HKD with this account.0 -
Thanks. Good suggestion, but unfortunately HSBC won't deal with me. They closed my account several years ago because I used it to buy Bitcoin.

I'm not sure why you said Revolut don't offer a HKD account. I just looked on the app and I have the option to open a HKD account.
Also the Wise website says you can open a HKD account: https://wise.com/gb/borderless/hkd-account0 -

You can open an account with both those organisation in HKD, but they don't give you a local account number in those currencies for people to send you money. Wise can give you local account details in about 10 currencies, but unfortunately HKD is not one of them.

I dont think you will find anywhere with local HKD if it's not with those options. HSBC also is simply UK based currency accounts with IBAN.Chris_in_Ashtead said:jbrassy said:I'm not sure why you said Revolut don't offer a HKD account.
