Pigeon netting - so wish we had done that, ours were fine for the first 7 years but now we have a veritable roost and no easy route to retrofit the netting as the panels are too close to the ridge to allow them to be spanned using a PV 'ladder'.
    I think....

When we had our solar panels installed 3.5 years ago, I didn't bother asking for bird-proofing as our neighbour's had not experienced any issue with theirs in the previous 5 years. After only 18 months, a group of doves descended on our village and made a nuisance of themselves on every house with panels. I therefore added bird-proofing last year, but it was quite a challenging job without scaffolding. Just as I was about to attached the last section, two doves flew through the remaining gap in the netting and it took 2 hours to evict them before I could finish.

It would appear that the newly added Sharp 570W panels are generating 55% more power than the 5 year old LG 400W panels, despite being rated 42.5% higher.

That seems like a 12.5% outperformance (all panels are bifacial)!

    -  10 x 400w LG Bifacial + 6 x 550W SHARP BiFacial + 2 570W SHARP Bifacial + 5kW SolarEdge Inverter + SolarEdge Optimizers. SE London.

    -  Triple aspect. (33% ENE.33% SSE. 34% WSW)

    -  Viessmann 200-W on Advanced Weather Comp. (The most efficient gas boiler sold)
