PIP Payment Date

Hi, Sorry to sound a little dim, but my husband has been awarded PIP but unsure about general payment date. He received a back payment lump sum dated until 15th May which went into the bank today 22nd May.
1) Is first payment included in the back dated lump sum or will he receive another payment as his first one.
2) Will the four week payments begin from 15th May or 22nd May
The award letter was quite vague about this.
Again will be grateful for any advice.
Many thanks
Molly

No, first 4 weekly payment isn't included with the money that was owed. When the next payment is due will depend on what day of the week the PIP is paid. The decision letter will tell you what dates the money owed covered, so you count 4 weeks from that. For example, if the money owed was paid up until 15th May and his payment day is usually a Tuesday then his next payment should be Tues 13th June.1

Thanks for your help....he has been awarded £61.85 in his letter, but have read this will be going up soon..any idea if he will get this in his first payment, as I believe his back payment was based on the rate gien in the letter..

Daily activity: £68.10 and £101.75 (previous £61.85/£92.40)
Mobility: £26.90 and £71.00 (previous £24.45/£64.50)Proud to have dealt with our debtsStarting debt 2005 £65.7K.

I have been on PIP for a few years and sorry to contradict the answer from the other person, but when I had to appeal for my PIP, and something recently I missed the deadline to fill in my form again and got backdated, that month's payment was included. So, with my recent circumstances, I got my backdated months and the February's payment was included. It has worked out that it is every 4 weeks counting from February and I would keep a note in a diary or phone when the payments land in the account for the months ahead.1
