Extremely poor customer service at tesco cafe

Whilst I'm not excusing the staff's attitude (it's very poor), I do understand the issue of a shop/cafe being open until a certain time but the owners only paying staff until closing time. That leaves them working for no pay when clearing up.
The owners should show more care and respect towards their staff.1 -
The cafe should have a more professional attitude to the running of the business.
A notice saying ' we close at 4.00 last orders at 3.30.'
This would avoid any misunderstandings.

Our local Tesco is very good. We’ve never had a problem and all the staff are very friendly and helpful0

They sound a bit rude but your wife also sounds like she was deliberately antagonistic. Not 100% sure the interaction warranted your wife trying to get this person fired. Seems completely unnecessary.One rule I have always tried to stick to is try not to annoy the people who are preparing food for you (out of your sight) Who know what they’ll be doing to it 😃1

She should have complained to the manager as to why they expect their cafe staff to work for nothing after 4pm.1
