Purchases over £100 when you are a POA - consumer rights

Does anyone know how consumer rights work for POA when you purchase large ticket items such as stairlifts, converting a bathroom to a wet room and basically anything over £100 when the donor and POAs only have a debit card?

POA can’t apply for loans, o/d or credit cards. Where   does the donor and POA stand if they purchase an item with their debit card/funds transfer that does not arrive/left in limbo with a builder etc?

TIA

The same as for someone purchasing for themselves. Is this an actual case or a what if situation?

It’s a what if- debit card is s about charge back and doesn’t given specific guarantees.

when you’re likely to be paying c  £15k to help the donor be independent at home debit card payments are a query.

Same as anyone else who doesn't use credit cards, you buy from reputable sources and only pay the full amounts on completion of work
