I need to hold about £300k from an inheritance while house is sold and before distributing and investing money. Where would be a good savings account with easy access for this ?

It is in excess of the FSCS limit but is likely to be a "short term high balance" - I used the NSI Direct Saver which I know some will say is not the best in terms of interest but is easy to manage1

Marcus or Chase - good interest and very easy to manage. It's over the protected limit, but will be protected as a short-term high balance for 6 months as Flugelhorn says. However, if transferring through your bank, be prepared for plenty of fraud alerts and loss of access to your account.0

If it's not going to be on deposit for long, you could save yourself any hassle about moving money around and just use a savings account with your existing bank. Much easier to deal with and you will probably have enough stress dealing with the payments anyway. But if you want to maximise every penny of interest - see above.2

Is this money you personally have inherited or do you mean that you are holding it as executor of an estate?
