Spray paint for parasol base.

We have a couple of large parasols on a light Grey porcelain patio, the bases are getting on a bit and slight rusting has appeard, what spray paint would be best to recover and seal the metal base to stop any marking on the patio?

    Another vote for hammerite.

If you want a smooth finish, Hammerite Smooth.
I'd suggest treating the rust with Jenolite first.

I suspect some of the people making cast iron parasol bases do what I have done many, many times i.e. paint them with the cheapest paint available to man thats not durable, lasts just long enough to be sold and maximises profit.

One tip that might be useful......I've found that attaching 3, equally spaced, thin rubber feet to the underside of the parasol base lifts it just enough so that it doesn't leave rust spots on the paving.

Alternatively buy a parasol base in either resin or granite.....they will guarantee no painting required & no rust spots.

Agree this is good idea but white nylon spacers/ standoffs  countersunk so screwhead is not in contact with the porcelain tiles would be less likely to leave marks on the tiles.

I disagree......rubber won't leave any marks that cant be wiped off.
We don't know if the op is capable of drilling and tapping 3 holes in the bottom of his parasol bases and.....
Your solution would seem to be to be something of an overkill.
