Cabot financial

Hello.
I keep getting text and voicemails from a Cabot financial. The name on the text isn't even me, I was just wondering if it was legit or a scam as they will not leave me alone, keep calling and texting. I am a really anxious person so too nervous to even answer the phone when they call to ask them to stop calling.
Any advice would be much appreciated. It has been going on for about 6 months now.

Debts are bought and sold all the time, a cheap way of chasing them is to send texts and emails, make calls etc etc.
However, if Cabot want to get serious, they have to write to you.
If the name is not yours, then its not you they are after, and is likely a mis-trace, advice is if its not your debt, its not your problem, let them knock themselves out, nothing can happen to you by ignoring them.
Next time they ring, you can answer and just tell the call handler you are not the debtor, and that they should remove your details from their database.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
