Argos Card Buy Now Pay Later

in Credit cards
Not sure if this is the right place to post this but basically I have an Argos card where I owe £400 on ‘normal credit’ and £550 on buy now pay later.
The buy now pay later plan ended yesterday so I made payment of £550 yesterday to pay off the plan so I didn’t get charged interest.
This morning I woke up to a text from Argos saying that my minimum payment was overdue and to pay £20 immediately.
My question is, does anyone know whether payments towards the buy now pay later plans are in addition to the minimum payment or should the fact I’ve paid £550 mean I don’t need to pay the £20 as well?
I’ll pay the £20 as it’s not worth getting into trouble for but just curious for future reference and I can’t see anything on Argos card site that explains it.

On the app or the web page has the £550 actually been credited to the BNPL plan ?
Checking that immediately is what you need to do !1 -

You left it a bit late to make that final payment on the plan. That is, if the agreement ended yesterday maybe you should have paid the £550 last Friday, giving them at least four full working days to receive and process it. You say in your last post that the information could take three days to reflect.
Payments for most organisations do take a while to be processed and that's why they demanded £20 from you today. They obviously haven't processed your £550 payment and they think you haven't made any payments at all on your BNPL plan, is how I interpret things.
It would not be a bad idea at all to phone them asap, as suggested by Ayr_Rage above, to explain what has happened and that you don't want to be charged either £20 or any interest, which is why you paid in full yesterday. The sooner they know the better, from your point of view.
Obviously this is just my own opinion but that is what I'd do. And I definitely wouldn't leave it until the very last day in future to pay off a balance in full because, as has happened here, they haven't had enough time to allocate it to your account. Please note - taken from the Forum Rules and amended for my own personal use (with thanks) : It is up to you to investigate, check, double-check and check yet again before you make any decisions or take any action based on any information you glean from any of my posts. I agree, business transactions require at least 1 working day to transact, leaving it to the actual ending day, and a weekend aswell, isn't good practice.0

So which plan did you pay?
But for the sake of £20 make a payment to the CC now.
As pretty sure they are 2 totally separate forms of credit.Life in the slow lane0 -
