That's the principle, yes.The ultimate solution would be a longer metal strip, one on either side, and secured through with nuts and bolts.1 -
Ok I'll definitely do it properly with longer bars.ThisIsWeird said:tony3619 said:Just as a quick test of what I had lying around the house is this the kinda thing people are talking about? Obviously I would maybe buy bigger brackets etc

I've had it about a year. I've been chasing spare parts from keter under warranty but they always say they are out of stock and have no estimated delivery date. I've been chasing for 3-4 months now. It's ridiculous.TELLIT01 said:How long have you had the furniture and have you contacted Keter to see what they say about it?If they can’t supply parts tell them you want it replaced under the warranty1 -
Yes that sort of thing. I would look for a strip with multiple holes in it so you can use a few bolts on either side to make it extra secure. Maybe something around 6" long by 1" wide and a decent thickness. Bolts with nyloc nuts and a washer on each sidetony3619 said:

If it's within the warranty, get it replaced.
If they don't respond positively there is always the small claims court. In my experience, often, just the threat of using the court is enough to illicit a resolution.1
