EonNext Gas Meter T&Cs

Do you know how I can obtain the gas meter supply T&Cs from EonNext? I can't do FOI as they're a company. They don't reply to emails. The energy ombudsman states she "can't find them" so was zero help with my complaint. My problem is I was with Eon for nine years prior to being shifted to EonNext and the T&Cs I need were on the old Eon site, but have now vanished. The old T&Cs stated that if my meter was capped and at zero when I moved in standing charges would be refunded until the supply was used. This is my case and Eon refunded me a few months when a first moved in, but then stopped and disengaged with me, so after many complaint letters I gave up, because I live with onging depression and physical illness and couldn't cope with persuing them any longer. So for many years I kept paying the standing charge, then when I was transferred to EonNext I decided to ask again about my gas standing charges refund, but got no replies to my letters, so went to the ombudsman, who told me I need to have the meter removed to stop paying standing charge - this is impossible, plus discriminatory, because I'm a social tenant so obviously can't do this. What I need are EonNext's gas meter supply T&Cs, but they are not on their public sites and the ombudsman made no attempt to query EonNext for them, which is what I imagined would happen. So I am stuck and need to find whether the T&Cs are the same as when I was an Eon Customer, because I feel there is injustice here and why should I have to keep paying the charge when my meter is capped? Thank you.

If you have an Energy Ombudsman ruling then you have a Decision. If you decide to take the supplier to Court, it can use the EO Decision as part of its defence.

    Terms and conditions are here:

It is also worth pointing out that suppliers have the right to make business changes. You have accepted any changed terms and conditions by accepting a supply from the new supplier.

Edit: if you have any case for discrimination then it is probably best aimed at your landlord not your supplier. E.oN Next will remove your gas meter for £235 but I suspect that your landlord would reasonably expect you to reinstate the supply if you wanted to leave the property.

This is what Eon Next say on their website (https://www.eonnext.com/help/standing-charges):

Can I remove the standing charge?

If you’ve not used any energy for a while, then you may be eligible to have the standing charge removed from your bill. You can call us on 0808 501 5200 or email hi@eonnext.com and we’ll look into this for you. You’ll need to do this each time you need to remove the standing charge.

For longer term solutions, such as an empty property, we can remove your fuse and/or meter so that you’re paying no standing charge permanently. There will be a cost associated with this, and our Energy Specialists can help sort that for you.
