I just measure my oats into a bowl, pour boiling water on them (water boiled for tea, I just boil extra), stir and leave to steep for a couple of minutes, then two minutes in the microwave. I sometimes add berries, or a large pinch of salt. I find that using rolled oats the porridge is “creamy” enough without using milk, and berries sweeten it enough not to need sugar.

Oats water, microwave two minutes. Add whatever toppings you like.   Simple quick and I don’t even use milk cos I have yoghurt on.

Overnight oats are great! Sometimes I don’t even zap them! I have them with rhubarb compote ( with stem ginger in syrup 😋) and sometimes a seedy/nut mix. If going into work, I keep the seeds separate as they go slimy

Daughter tried various non Quaker instant oats (she's disabled, can't stand so mixes from her boiiling water tap.  Non Quaker were deemed to be not good.

Oates and milk in a casserole dish and then place the dish in the microwave just before going to bed. Next morning walk into the kitchen and switch on the microwave. Cooked in two minutes. Add fruit and eat from casserole dish.

Doesn’t the milk go off if it’s out of the fridge overnight? 🤷🏻‍♀️
