Paramount+ and British Airways Promotion Terms and Conditions: No Escape on Capital, May 2023 – Specific Rules
1. The ‘Paramount+: No Escape’ promotion (‘Promotion’) is organised by Global (‘Global’, ‘we’, ‘us’, ‘our’) as defined in the General Terms and Conditions). The Promotion will run from Thursday 18th May 2023 to Thursday 25th May 2023 on the Capital Network. Global is the Promoter. The ‘Promotion Partner’ mentioned in these Specific Rules is Paramount and the ‘Prize Providers’ are Paramount, British Airways and Global (via Global’s prize facilitator NDL).
2. IMPORTANT: The Promotion is subject to these ‘Specific Rules’ and the ‘General Terms and Conditions’ which are available here (together, the ‘Promotion Terms and Conditions’). Entry into the Promotion constitutes acceptance of these Specific Rules and the General Terms and Conditions. In the event of a conflict or inconsistency between any of the requirements of the Specific Rules and the General Terms and Conditions, the Specific Rules shall take precedence.
Details of the Promotion:
3. To enter the Promotion, you must go online to the Promotion entry page at https://www.capitalfm.com/win/, register your details and submit an answer to the multiple-choice question provided.
4. Online entry will open at 17:00 on Thursday 18th May 2023 and close at 16:59 on Thursday 25th May 2023. Entries received before or after this time will not be included in the Promotion.
5. Within 5 days of the closing time of the Promotion, all eligible entries will be entered into a draw. One correct entry will be selected at random, and the winning entrant will be contacted by one of our representatives via email or telephone on the contact details with which you registered to enter the Promotion. If such winner does not respond within 28 days from being contacted, they will forfeit their right to the prize, and we shall be entitled to select another winner by another random draw. That subsequent winner must respond to the notification email within 5 days of the date on which they are notified, or they will also forfeit the prize.
6. We, the Promotion Partner and the Prize Providers may publish and publicise your name, image, social media handle and/or profile picture, your nearest geographical location (for example, your nearest city, town or county) and your entry, and we may refer to your and any applicable third party’s (for example a guest/travel companion) association with the Promotion and/or the prize, in any and all media, worldwide, in perpetuity, for publicity and PR purposes solely in connection with the Promotion.
7. In relation to winners (and runners up if applicable), you understand that we and our Promotion Partner may: (i) interview you and your guest(s)/travel companion(s) which we may film, photograph and/or record and; (ii) film, photograph and/or record, you and your guest(s)/travel companion(s) in connection with the Promotion, either by telephone or in person, and we may use such films, recordings and/or photographs for publicity and PR purposes in any and all media, worldwide, as often and for as long as we consider appropriate or desirable, in connection with the Promotion. We may also publish your and your guest(s)/travel companion(s) name, image, social media handle and/or profile picture.

8. The Promotion is only open to residents of the UK aged 18 and over, and who are based in the UK at the time of entry.
9. Entry is restricted to one entry per person; duplicate entries will be excluded from the Promotion.

10. Subject to the below Prize terms, one (1) winning entrant will receive:

Prize Contribution from British Airways:
11. British Airways will provide one winning entrant with British Airways ‘World Traveller’ Standard return tickets for 2 people (aged 18+) to a location of the winner’s choice (excluding Australia). The following terms and conditions will apply:
a. The travel companion must be aged 18 or over. These terms and conditions apply to both the winner and the companion. Both tickets must be redeemed at the same time and cannot be split. Tickets must be used on the same journey, on the same day and the same flights.
b. Where available, all prize flights will be issued as e-tickets. All transportation taxes, fees and charges are included. Tickets cannot be upgraded, transferred, sold or exchanged.
c. Flights are subject to availability and capacity control and must be booked at least 6 months in advance.
d. Winner/s may only choose from British Airways operated flights. Travel on British Airways franchise, codeshare and alliance airlines, domestic connections, transfers and other add-ons are not included. Once booked, no changes can be made to tickets.
e. All travel on British Airways flights is subject to British Airways’ General Conditions of Carriage for Passengers and Baggage (see ba.com) and the notice and conditions of contract contained on each ticket and itinerary
f. The winner and their travelling companion are responsible for supplying valid passports and visas.
g. Any other incidental expenses are not included in the above prize and must be paid for by the winner. For the avoidance of doubt, British Airways will have no liability in relation to travel costs associated with travelling to or from the airports. In addition, the winner is responsible for any income or use tax assessed in connection with the prize.
h. Competition flights are non-changeable and non-transferable.
i. Flights exclude public holidays. Flights must be to and from a location that British Airways fly to and can include a layover.
j. British Airways World Traveller flights have a luggage allowance of a carry-on baggage and checked in bag of up to 23kg per bag (per traveller).
Prize Contribution from Global:
12. Global will provide one winning entrant with the following:
a. 5 night’s accommodation for 2 people in a 4* hotel at a location of the winner’s choice.
b. Travel insurance for 2 people
c. £500 spending money.
The following terms and conditions will apply:
a. Hotel accommodation is subject to availability and excludes bank holidays, valentine’s day/weekend and school holiday periods, specifically the Christmas holidays, summer holidays, spring and autumn half terms and Easter in both the UK and destination country.
b. You will be staying in a 4* hotel, sharing a double room with en-suite bathroom on a room only basis. If you’d prefer a twin room, we will do what we can to secure this for you, but it cannot be guaranteed. Your prize will include the cover the cost of any local hotel taxes and resort fees for the duration of your stay which is payable locally to the hotel when you check-out. Some US hotels require one guest to be aged 21 years or over.
c. Travel insurance is subject to normal terms of acceptance. Pre-existing medical conditions may not be covered. No age restrictions apply. Should we be unable to purchase travel insurance on the winner’s behalf, a cash sum of £50.00 per person will be provided to the winner via bank transfer.
d. We will endeavour to transfer the spending money to your bank account within 28 days but are not responsible for any delays. You must provide all necessary details via the method directed within 14 days after the original request to do so otherwise the prize will be forfeited at our discretion.
Prize Contribution from Paramount
13. Paramount will provide one winning entrant with a 3-month Paramount+ subscription. The following terms and conditions will apply:
a. A promotional code will be supplied to the winner in order to redeem their 3 month subscription to the Paramount+ streaming service. New subscribers only. UK only.
b. To access your Paramount+ subscription, you must visit Paramountplus.com and register for a Paramount+ account, agree to the Paramount+ Subscription Agreement (available at https://pplus.legal/subscription) and provide a valid payment method during sign up. Your Paramount+ subscription will automatically renew at the end of the initial subscription period that you selected during sign up and the payment method saved to your account will automatically be charged the recurring subscription fee (current retail value, as of May 2023, £6.99 until you cancel. You must cancel before your current subscription period ends to avoid charges. You can cancel your subscription to Paramount+ at any time through your account settings at paramountplus.com/account and clicking “cancel subscription”. Paramount+ requires internet access and a compatible device, neither of which are provided as part of your subscription. Additional Prize Terms:
14. All prizes must be claimed and booked by the prize winner within 12 months from the date of our initial correspondence with them. You must, at your own cost, comply with all necessary checks, and/or tests required for travelling to and from and entering and exiting your travel destination/venue. This includes, but is not limited to, purchasing, organising, undertaking, recording and/or registering any required Covid-19 tests. We will not be responsible for any costs incurred by you in complying with this clause, nor will we purchase, organise, undertake, record and/or register any required Covid-19 tests.
15. You must comply with all applicable rules, regulations and guidance relating to Covid-19, both in the UK and your travel destination/venue. Neither we, the Promotion Partner, nor any Prize Providers are responsible for your failure to comply with such rules, regulations and guidance.
16. You acknowledge and agree that, without limitation to the provisions of Clause 12 of the General Terms & Conditions, our ability to fulfil a prize and/or perform any of our obligations under the Promotion Terms and Conditions could be affected by an actual or threatened epidemic, pandemic, disease or quarantine and/or any corresponding governmental action, guidance and/or ruling (including but not limited to any Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office guidance) (collectively ‘Covid Measures’).
17. If due to any Covid Measures, we are unable to fulfil a prize or perform any of our other obligations under the Promotion Terms and Conditions, then we shall not be in breach of the Promotion Terms and Conditions. In accordance with Clause 20 below, in these circumstances, we reserve the right to substitute the prize with another prize of equal or greater value at our absolute discretion.
18. Any other costs and expenses which are not specifically included in the prize description are excluded and will be the sole responsibility of the winner. By way of example, without limitation, visas and food are not included within the prize.
19. The prize is non-transferable and non-refundable. No cash alternative is available except at our sole discretion.
20. We reserve the right to substitute the prize with another prize of equal or greater value at our absolute discretion.

Data Protection:
22. Your personal data that you provide to us will be collected and processed by us, our licensees (including Communicorp UK Limited) and our Promotion Partner as well as the Prize Providers, and if applicable, our service providers, network operators and suppliers in order to administer and fulfil the Promotion. You can withdraw your consent to marketing at any time by unsubscribing.
25. We, our Promotion Partner and the Prize Providers may transfer and process personal data outside of the EEA and UK for the purposes of administering the Promotion. Where any transfers are made outside of the EEA or UK we and the Promotion Partner will ensure appropriate safeguards to protect your personal data are in place.
26. We will hold your personal data for a period of up to 3 years in order to comply with our regulatory obligations.
27. You may request the removal of your personal details from our database by contacting privacy@global.com. If you request that your personal details, be removed prior to the conclusion of a Promotion, you will forfeit your right to enter the Promotion and/or claim any prize and we reserve the right to select another entrant to participate in the Promotion or withdraw the prize and select another winner, as applicable.
