Renewing driving licence

I've just renewed my driving licence at age 73. Both this time and at age 70 I did it online, and on both occasions the licence took 4 days to arrive and the form-filling was straightforward. I can really recommend renewing online!

I’m 70 in a few weeks and was about to renew online…but then saw that doing this would cause some of my entitlements to be removed.

Thanks for that, I was curious. Fortunately, like @GaleSF63, that didn’t apply to me so the online renewal was very straight forward. 😊

You need to apply by post to keep C1 and D1

    C1 and D1.
You also need Form DLM 1 filled in by a doctor
If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales

Thanks didn't realise that. I think I will just do it online and and lose the C1 and D1 entitlements, I don't actually need them.

That's exactly what I did. I did think about keeping the C1/D1 entitlements, but would have only needed them if I bought an over 3500 kg motorhome (haven't even bought a sub 3500 kg one!)

Not if you have a fairly recent passport photo, the DVLA will use that.
