Obviously we don’t have all the details but if there was genuinely an abduction attempt on a five year old then of course the police would be investigating and take statements.

It is nonsense to suggest they wouldn’t.

I bet when the OP started this thread they didn’t expect their situation to be compared with that horrific murder.

The wonder of the internet where there is no line that people won’t cross to try and make a cheap point  🥲
  • What kind of stuff was taken? I assume it wasn't too important to her if it was stored in a shed in the garden. Was it completely unexpected that he wanted this stuff? Did he and your sister have conversations beforehand about him wanting these items?

  • I'm so sorry for not responding, but I had no notification of any replies.

He was thrown out of his house for non-payment of rent, so he just landed at my sister's house with nothing but his car (also in default) and a backpack. He manipulated, lied stole and cut her off from her family before she finally plucked up the courage to throw him out. Everyone who knows him, even his own family, think he's a sociopath. I'm sure he can't help that, but he caused a lot of problems.

Anyway, this is just an update. She hasn't seen or heard anything from him since and is now in a stable, committed relationship with a decent bloke, so she just put the whole thing behind her and moved on. :)
