Contacted by old creditor with refund - previous DRO
Options
Hi all,
I was accepted for a DRO in Dec 2018, which included an overdraft from a bank. Despite ongoing contact with the bank, my credit report continues to state in default regarding this account.
Anyway, this morning I received a letter from said bank, stating a refund of £800 was to be paid as they'd miscalculated fees/interest over a 2 year period between May 2017 - June 2019. They then go on to say this refund will be taken off the amount I owe (which was included in my DRO).
What I'd like to confirm is whether I'm entitled to this refund despite the DRO. Whilst I'm in a better financial position that I was in 2018, this money would really help towards rising bills!
I've sent countless evidence to the bank regarding this account being included within it, however as you see, there's still issues.
Would really appreciate some help.
