Induction hob broke after 5 months, replacement doesn't cut it

I purchased a Hisense induction hob from Currys and it broke after 5 months. The Hisense engineer came and advise it's beyond repair and will provide a replacement.
Now the case has passed back to Currys and days passed still no response, I've had to live weeks without a hob with two kids.
I know even if they provide a replacement I'll still have to pay for someone to install it again. Can someone advise if I can claim the installation costs or costs of the inconvenience of not having a hob for so long?

Ask them to cover the costs of installation of the new hob.supersinglerent said:I purchased a Hisense induction hob from Currys and it broke after 5 months. The Hisense engineer came and advise it's beyond repair and will provide a replacement.

As for inconvenience, ask nicely and they may provide some sort of goodwill gesture. With hindsight and if finances permitted, you could have bought a portable gas, electric or induction hob to tide you over, then sold it on or kept as a contingency.1 -
Have you chased them in any way, is there a case tracker or has it all been on email?supersinglerent said:I purchased a Hisense induction hob from Currys and it broke after 5 months. The Hisense engineer came and advise it's beyond repair and will provide a replacement.

You may be able to claim for installation, however you are unlikely to need to, a like for like installation would be really easy, something most people would be able to do themselves. You are not entitled to anything for the inconvenience, although they may offer a "gesture of goodwill" around the £50 mark.supersinglerent said:I know even if they provide a replacement I'll still have to pay for someone to install it again.
