I would love to buy an aaran cardigan but shop prices are far to expensive any one a knitter who lives near Kent!!!

try lion brand yarn. i always find what i am looking for on there and i pass them to my mum who knits them for my little one. i like the old fashion ones so worth a look. safe to join too, no spam etc. good luck.

There is a knitters thread on the Old Style board, if you post on there, there are lots of links to pattern sites....or someone may already have a suitable pattern they can lend you.

Have you tried a charity shop, they often have old knitting patterns.

done that too! what started off simple has become a nightmare I think I'll forget the whole thing , thanks anyway

Hi, you could always try joining a re-cycling group on the internet and then requesting such a pattern. Here are a few near Glasgow, as I understand New Lanark is near there.
