Hi all,
Just found two external lights at my house don't work. I am not sure if this is kind of thing that I can fix by myself, or have to hire an electrician.
I suspect that replacing either the light bulb or the motion sensor can fix them.
Any suggestions are much appreciated!
The below picture is the first light. There is another light has exactly the same setup, but that one is working. I can hear a tick sound when approaching the working light, but no tick sound for the light that not working. I suspect the motion sensor is not working.

The below picture is another light that not working. I can actually hear a tick sound when approaching the light, but the light is not on. I suspect it might be the light bulb is not working. But apparently the sensor still require a replacement as the lid is damaged anyway.

Hi,first and easiest thing to check are the bulbs, in the second picture bulb looks blown as it appears to be black. So, remove covers and check bulbs, swap bulbs from picture one lights to check if bulb faulty or pir.1

Replacing either light is not a difficult job. If you are not confident with electrics, get a handyman in to do it. Others would say get a qualified electrician, but at the rates some of them charge, a handyman will be much cheaper. The second light, do replace with an LED one. It will be much, much cheaper to run, so you'll save on electricity (10W against 150-250W). You may want to look at replacing the other lights with LED as well. Her courage will change the world.
Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.2 -
In the lower picture there appears to be a broken cover on the PIR0
