O2 contract cancellation

Hi,

just looking really for alternative routes of speaking to someone from o2 that can actually help me.

I recently bought a virgin media bundle that included an o2 sim, to get a discounted rate. I don’t need the sim and others have said you can JUST cancel it as they are two separate contracts. Once my sim arrived (took a while as it was a bank holiday), I phoned o2 only to be on hold and cut off. This repeated about four times and after a total of an hour on hold I spoke to a lady who told me the sim had been cancelled and it will take up to two working days for it to be approved by her manager (I can’t remember the term she gave). Once approved I will receive a cancellation email or text. I haven’t received either and it looks like my contract is still very much active.

I’m now over my 14 days cancellation period and I don’t know what to do. I’m not sure if they’re going to believe me if I say I have cancelled if the lady on the phone didn’t actually cancel it.

TIA
