Seeking Advice: Troubleshooting Samsung Side-by-Side Fridge Freezer

Hey everyone,
I'm in need of some advice regarding my Samsung American-style side-by-side fridge freezer. It's not exactly the latest model, around 8-10 years old, and has been sitting in storage for over half a year.
I recently power it back up, but was greeted with an E22 error. I managed to reset the error, but have encountered another issue: the fridge section isn't cooling properly (hovering around 10-15 degrees) despit the freezer compartment working relatively fine.
The thought of dismantling it and inspecting components like the sensors and fans with a multimeter crossed my mind, but I admit I'm quite a novice in this area. It'd be quite a time-consuming task for me.
I don't really want to replace it as it'll cost more than £1k, but I also don't want to spend hundreds on professional repairs, especially with no assurance that they could even resolve the issue.
Could anyone suggest what my best course of action might be? I'd appreciate any input.
Thanks in advance!

I know you said it's 8-10 years old, it's not uncommon for the compressor to have a 10 year warranty on fridges

no idea if that's the problem, but it also o it covers the parts and not labour
realistically on a near 10 year old fridge / freezer that has been out of use for so long I'd have concerns about reliability and it's probably not very energy efficient. You can pick up some new ones now for £450 ish

It could be loads of things, it's impossible to tell from here! Getting someone out would cost about £80 from recent experience.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.1

Yeah I would get someone out if I could find someone competent that's not going to try replacing every part without testing them first.I couldn't find side by side fridge freezers online for around £500, where are you looking @ashe ? They were mostly double that price but at £500 I'd consider a full replacement.0

If you tell us which model it might help - usually found on a sticker inside or on the inside edge of a door. E22 suggests the cold air ducting to the fridge maybe be blocked - possibly with ice. What room of the house is it in? was it stored somewhere that freezes?1

It's a Samsung RS7567BHCWW. It was in big yellow storage for about 8 months, with no changes in temperature so no freezing while there and that's why none of these issues with ice buildup applies. I did open up the back and clean up the fluff around the compressor, after I turned it on and it errored. Also I believe this is a dual cooling system where the fridge has it's own cooling element rather than relying on the one in the freezer, but could be wrong. I figure it's something to do with the sensors or PCB or perhaps the fans.

“Not cooling properly (hovering around 10-15 degrees) despit the freezer compartment working relatively fine.”
I had this problem. First thing to try is to switch it off and leave the doors open for about 3 days. This is because there are fans that can become iced up and fail to turn. If that fails then it could well be a known issue with models of that age and Samsung may agree to repair it free of charge. Whether it’s chargeable or free, you need a Samsung appointed engineer. I would contact Samsung online and see what they suggest.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. All fixed now. In the end I ended up calling Samsung for support. They forwarded me to this company called Mint that has Samsung trained engineers. They charged £100 for call out, they changed 3 parts (the cover housing the fan, a heating element and a sensor) which cost £150, and it seems to be working fine now
