    TERMS AND CONDITIONS for “Hits x Lidl Food Themes” (the “Competition”).

     

    These terms and conditions (the “Specific Terms”) for the Competition should be read alongside  our general competition terms and conditions at: http://www.bauerlegal.co.uk/radio-competition-terms.html (the “General Terms”) which will also apply to this Competition. Where there is any conflict between these Specific Terms and the General Terms, the Specific Terms shall prevail.

     

     

    1.ENTRY ROUTES AND COSTS

     

    ONLINE COMPETITION:

    The online prize is a shared prize across 24 Hits Radio Network stations.

    Entries are restricted to one entry per person.

    Online entry is free of charge.

     

    2.COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN

     

    ONLINE COMPETITION:

    In order to be eligible to win, entrants must go online to one of the below web addresses:

     

    There will be one winner of the Online Competition.

     

    There will be three shortlisted contestants who will be randomly selected from all those that correctly answer the competition question on the relevant online page. All valid entries will be pooled and the three shortlisted contestants will be chosen by electronic random draw on Thursday the 18th of May at 16.00pm.

     

    One shortlisted contestant will be called at random to speak to Hits Radio Presenter Fleur East who will announce that they are the winner. Only once called by Fleur East and declared a winner, will the contestant win. If the contestant does not answer the phone, the win will go to the next eligible shortlisted contestant drawn at random.

     

     

    3. ENTRY PERIOD

     

    ONLINE COMPETITION:

    • Entries must be submitted during the following entry period:
    • From 16/05/2023 at 14:00 (the “Start Time”) to 19/05/2023 at 09:00 (“End Time”).
    • Entries received before the Start Time will be invalid.
    • Entries received after the End Time will be automatically rolled on to the next ‘Food of the Week’ competition taking place from 29/05/23 - 08/06/23.
    • Winner Announcement: The winner’s first name and hometown are available on request by emailing win@bauermedia.co.uk
    • However if the winner cannot be contacted within 28 days from the date of the initial attempt to contact them, then we will re-draw until we draw a winner that we are satisfied (in our sole discretion) fulfils all of the eligibility criteria and is in compliance with these Terms.

     

    4. ENTRY RESTRICTIONS

    • Open to UK residents aged 18 years or over on date of entry.
    • Our employees (and their family members) or employees of any company involved in the Competition, including any Prize Provider, are not permitted to enter.
    • We reserve the right to disqualify any entrant or winner who does not comply with any of the eligibility criteria and/or is in breach of these Terms. We reserve the right to repeat the competition mechanic or any stage of it in order to draw a winner that fulfils all of the eligibility criteria and is in compliance with these Terms.

    5. THE PRIZE

    There will be 1 on air winner:

     

    Prize Package for 2 adults and 2 under 16s includes:

    -        Return flights from London to Phuket, Thailand

    -        Return airport transfers in Phuket

    -        7 nights’ luxury (4*) hotel accommodation in Phuket, based on sharing 1 x family room

    -        Daily breakfast

    -        Travel insurance

    ELEMENT T&CS’s:

    -       Economy class flights available from London only;

    -       Flights include the luggage stated in the prize inclusions only, may be indirect and not all routings will be available;

    -       Flight itinerary will be selected by the prize provider at their sole discretion; Winner and guest(s) must travel at the same time with the same itinerary;

    -       At least one traveller must be aged 18 or over;

    -       Children under 18 will require parent or guardian permission prior to travel;

    -       Stay must include a Saturday night;

    -       A valid credit or debit card will be required for security deposit purposes when checking into the hotel;

    -       Accommodation is based on all travellers sharing one room;

    -       Hotel accommodation will be selected by the prize provider at their sole discretion;

    -       All prize elements are subject to availability;

    -       If unavailable, experiences of a similar nature and value may be offered at prize provider’s discretion;

    -       Winners must contact prize provider with three preferred travel dates in three separate months no later than six weeks prior to departure;

    -       All elements of the prize must be taken at the same time;

    -       Prize is non-refundable and non-transferable; No cash alternative is available;

    -        Prize is valid for 12 months from the date of notification of winning, and all travel must be completed within that time;

    -       Prize must be taken in accordance with government guidelines and COVID-19 rules and restrictions in place at the time of travel. The arrangement and additional costs for any COVID-19 testing or other expenses that may be incurred are the sole responsibility of the winner and guest;

By entering this Competition, you are consenting to our use of your entry both to publicise this Competition, our radio station or any other radio station which we own or control. This means that we may use all names, images, descriptions, photographs video footage, and other information, which you have submitted on entry, in any media, without paying you any remuneration therefore and without any time restriction. You also agree that we may film, record or photograph you in connection with the competition and /or the Prize if applicable. We will own these films, recordings or photographs and we may use them publicly, including on the internet, for our radio broadcasts and/or for any promotional purposes. You will also have waived any moral rights or right to payment that you may have had.

     

    3.        MISCELLANEOUS.

     

    • Entries which do not comply with these Terms or the General Competition Terms and Conditions will not be accepted and any entries may be disqualified if we have any reason to suspect that there is a breach of, or non-compliance with, these Terms.
    • Where a competition mechanic involves the answering of questions, the correct answers to questions must match our answers to win (or be sufficiently close in our sole reasonable opinion) to be acceptable. In the event of any dispute about any answers given and whether they are correct, we reserve the right to amend what we deem a correct answer, however we are not obliged to, and our decision in either case is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
    • We are not responsible if you fail to get through when you call / text to enter, or if you lose signal during a call.
