Across these 3 cards I have a credit limit of £36,500. I think if you focus your spending on a few cards you're more likely to get higher limits on these cards. It might look better in terms of credit history having high limits on a few cards rather than lots of cards with low limits.
I put most spends on my Nectar Amex card for the points. I did have 18 month 0% balance transfer from Virgin but ended up paying the balance off long before it ended.
I also have a Tesco credit card and I've accumulated some clubcard points on that too.
