    Boots Heart Breakfast Launch Promotion on Heart Network, May 2023 – Specific Rules 

    1.     The Boots Heart Breakfast Launch promotion (‘Promotion’) is organised by Global (as defined in the General Terms and Conditions). The Promotion will run from Monday 15th May 2023 to Friday 26th May 2023 on the Heart Network. Global is the Promoter. The ‘Promotion Partner’ mentioned in these Specific Rules is Boots and the ‘Prize Provider’ is NDL. 

    2.     IMPORTANT: The Promotion is subject to these Specific Rules and the General Terms and Conditions which are available here (together, the ‘Promotion Terms and Conditions’). Entry into the Promotion constitutes acceptance of these Specific Rules and the General Terms and Conditions. 

    Details of the Promotion: 

    3.     To enter the Promotion, you must:  

    (i) go online to the Promotion entry page at Heart.co.uk/win and register your details;  

    (ii) pick your Boots ‘life stage’ from the available category options on the page:  

                                                                          i.Travel (including summer holidays) 

                                                                        ii.UK Holiday 

                                                                       iii.Wedding 

                                                                       iv.New baby 

                                                                        v.Milestone birthday 

    (iii) describe in 500 characters or less the life stage you have coming up this year that’s based on the category you’ve chosen (your “Submission”). 

    4.     Entries for the Travel (including summer holidays) category open at 17:00 Monday 15th May 2023 and close at 09:00 Thursday 18th May 2023. 

    5.     Entries for the UK Holiday open at 17:00 Monday 15th May 2023 and close at 09:00 Thursday 18th May 2023. 

    6.     Entries for the Wedding category open at 17:00 Monday 15th May 2023 and close at 09:00 Sunday 21st May 2023. 

    7.     Entries for the New baby category open at 17:00 Monday 15th May 2023 and close at 09:00 Sunday 21st May 2023. 

    8.     Entries for the Milestone birthday category open at 17:00 Monday 15th May 2023 and close at 09:00 Wednesday 24th May 2023.  

    9.     Entries received before or after the times listed above will not be included in the Promotion. 

    10.  Entries deemed by us to be rude, offensive, defamatory, illegal or condoning dangerous behaviour will be removed from the Promotion. 

    11.  After the closing times listed above a shortlist of 50 entries will be selected at random from all eligible entries received for that specific category. These 50 entries will then be judged by a panel consisting of Heart producers and an independent judge based on the following criteria: 

                                                        i.how unique the submission is;  

                                                      ii.how relatable it is to the category the entrant selected;  

                                                     iii.how entertaining the entry is and;  

                                                     iv.how family orientated it is 

    12.  The judging sessions will happen on the following dates: 

                                               i.Travel (including summer holidays) - Judging Date: Thursday 18th May 

                                             ii.UK Holiday - Judging Date: Thursday 18th May 

                                            iii.Wedding – Judging Date: Monday 22nd May 

                                            iv.New baby – Judging Date: Monday 22nd May 

                                             v.Milestone birthday - Judging Date: Wednesday 24th May 

    13.  The judges’ decisions are final, and no correspondence may be entered into. 

    14.  One entrant will be selected for each category and will win a prize as per point 22. 

    15.  Selected entrants will be contacted by one of our representatives via the telephone number provided in their entry. If the entrant cannot be contacted within 3 attempts, they will forfeit their right to the prize/experience, and we shall be entitled to select another entrant from the shortlist.   

    16.  By submitting your entry to this Promotion, you confirm that you have obtained the consent of all individuals that feature in your Submission (in the case of children under the age of 18, you have obtained the consent of the child’s parent/guardian) and agree to notify us immediately if their consent is withdrawn at any time. 

    17.  We, the Promotion Partner and the Prize Provider may publish and publicise your Submission, name, image, social media handle and/or profile picture, your nearest geographical location (for example, your nearest city, town or county) and your entry, and we may refer to your and any applicable third party’s (for example anyone included in the Submission/a guest/a travel companion association with the Promotion and/or the prize, in any and all media, worldwide, in perpetuity, for publicity and PR purposes solely in connection with the Promotion. 

    18.  In relation to winners (and runners up if applicable), you understand that we and our Promotion Partner may: (i) interview you and your guest(s)/travel companion(s) which we may film, photograph and/or record and; (ii) film, photograph and/or record, you and your guest(s)/travel companion(s) in connection with the Promotion, either by telephone or in person, and we may use such films, recordings and/or photographs for publicity and PR purposes in any and all media, worldwide, as often and for as long as we consider appropriate or desirable, in connection with the Promotion. We may also publish your and your guest(s)/travel companion(s) name, image, social media handle and/or profile picture. 

    Eligibility: 

    19.  The Promotion is only open to residents of the UK aged 18 and over, and who are based in the UK at the time of entry 

    20.  Entry is restricted to one entry per person, per category but an entrant can only win once during the Promotion; duplicate entries will be excluded from the Promotion. An entrant can only win once during the Promotion.  

    Prize:  

    21.  There are 5 bespoke prize packages to be won, 1 per category.  

    22.  1 winner per category will each be awarded:  

                                     i.A bespoke prize/experience based on (and tailor-made to) their Submission up to a maximum value of £2,000.  

                                    ii.£1,000 Boots e-Voucher.  

    23.  Prize fulfilment will be via our Prize Provider. The winners’ Submissions and contact details will be shared with NDL to enable the fulfilment of the bespoke  prize/experience.  

    24.  Customer should treat gift cards like cash. Lost or stolen cards cannot be replaced. Please note this card is not a cheque guarantee, credit or charge card and no interest is paid on card balances. Gift card will expire after 12 months. Customer will not be able to use this card after that date and any unused balance on the card will be lost. For security reasons, cards are delivered unloaded, card will automatically load within 48 hours from delivery. Winner will be required to open a Boots account in their own name to shop online. 

    25.  All prizes will be delivered within 28 working days from the date that NDL receives confirmation of the delivery address from the winner. NDL will do their best to adhere to these time frames, however due to the uncertainty around the full impact of the Coronavirus, there may be delays with stock availability and deliveries. 

    26.  If the prize is holiday based, you must, at your own cost, comply with all necessary checks, and/or tests required for travelling to and from and entering and exiting your travel destination/venue. This includes, but is not limited to, purchasing, organising, undertaking, recording and/or registering any required Covid-19 tests. We will not be responsible for any costs incurred by you in complying with this clause, nor will we purchase, organise, undertake, record and/or register any required Covid-19 tests.  

    27.  You must comply with all applicable rules, regulations and guidance relating to Covid-19, both in the UK and your travel destination/venue. We are not responsible for your failure to comply with such rules, regulations and guidance.  

    28.  You acknowledge and agree that, without limitation to the provisions of Clause 12 of the General Terms & Conditions, our ability to fulfil a prize and/or perform any of our obligations under the Promotion Terms and Conditions could be affected by an actual or threatened epidemic, pandemic, disease or quarantine and/or any corresponding governmental action, guidance and/or ruling (including but not limited to any Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office guidance) (collectively ‘Covid Measures’).   

    If due to any Covid Measures, we are unable to fulfil a prize or perform any of our other obligations under the Promotion Terms and Conditions, then we shall not be in breach of the Promotion Terms and Conditions. In accordance with Clause 28 below, in these circumstances, we reserve the right to substitute the prize with another prize of equal or greater value at our absolute discretion. 

    29.  Travel insurance will be provided by the Prize Provider and is subject to normal terms of acceptance. Pre-existing medical conditions may not be covered. No age restrictions apply. Should the Prize Provider be unable to purchase travel insurance on the winner’s behalf, a cash fund of £25 per person will be allocated for travel insurance and will be provided to the winner via bank transfer. Should this be the case it will be the sole responsibility of the winner to obtain suitable travel insurance for themselves and, where applicable, their guests. 

    30.  Any other costs and expenses which are not specifically included in the prize description are excluded and will be the sole responsibility of the winner.  

    31.  The prize is non-transferable and non-refundable and no cash alternative is available except in our sole discretion. 

    32.  We reserve the right to substitute the prize with another prize of equal or greater value at our absolute discretion.

    34.  Your personal data that you provide to us will be collected and processed by us, our licensees (including Communicorp UK Limited) and our Promotion Partner as well as the prize providers, and if applicable, our service providers, network operators and suppliers in order to administer and fulfil the Promotion. Your personal data may also be disclosed to the Phone-paid Services Authority, Ofcom and/or the Advertising Standards Authority at their reasonable request for regulatory purposes, for example, in order to prevent, investigate and detect crime, fraud or anti-social behaviour and comply with law enforcement agencies and applicable advertising codes. 

    35.  By entering a Promotion, you acknowledge that any personal data provided by you in connection with the Promotion will be processed as set out above and in accordance with our Privacy Policy which sets out full details of how we process personal data and how you can exercise your rights as a data subject, and our Promotion Partner’s Privacy Policy. Please ensure you have read and understood our Privacy Policy and our Promotion Partner’s Privacy Policy before entering any Promotion. If you are required to submit a guest(s)/travel companion(s) personal data to enter a Promotion, you must ensure that your guest(s)/travel companion(s) have given you consent to provide us and our Promotion Partner with their personal data.

    38.  We will hold your personal data for a period of up to 3 years in order to comply with our regulatory obligations.  

    39.  You may request the removal of your personal details from our database by contacting privacy@global.com. If you request that your personal details be removed prior to the conclusion of a Promotion, you will forfeit your right to enter the Promotion and/or claim any prize and we reserve the right to select another entrant to participate in the Promotion or withdraw the prize and select another winner, as applicable.
