Pre Paid Travel Card Age 12?

Hi All,
I'm hoping someone can help. My 12 year old is going on a school trip to Iceland in July and I'd like to get him a pre-paid travel card so that he doesn't have to carry a large amount of cash and can avoid the usual bank card transaction fees. I've looked at a few companies but I've not found any that don't have a minimum age requirement of at least 13. Are there any that exist for children under this age and if not what is the best way to manahe his spending abroad?.
Thanks

Or Nationwide, no forex fees and they even give you interest.

Thankyou for the suggestions. He already has a current account with Santander and I'm not looking to open another. I just want a travel card to avoid bank charges associated with foreign travel.0

Well worth checking/trying, the Revolut solution mentioned seems good too, take both and/or the Santander card to avoid relying on a single source of funds.Evolution, not revolution0

According to online reports - Iceland is pretty much near a cashless country, credit and debit cards are almost universally used, even for small amounts. So, no need for a large wad of readies. It's also worth noting that it's a very expensive country.0
