UKPC LTD Parking Charge

Fiftyyard

On Friday 28th April, we visited B&M and few other stores in Grovebury Retail Park, Leighton Buzzard. we spent 4 hours and 45 mins in a 4 hour free parking car park. As we were with a baby that was particularly fussy that day, miscalculated the time we needed to leave (thought we had until 9:30 pm instead of 8:30 pm). On 10th May, I received NTK from UKPC, dated 3rd May, stating the entry and exit times and asking to pay £100 (£60 if paid in 14 days).
As explained in multiple threads (including the Newbie thread) here on MSE, I approched B&M and Aldi, B&M store manager strait up refused saying she can't do anything with parking tickets as they don't own the car parks and B&M customer services refused saying they have no way of appealing on customers behalf with UKPC (though they can with couple of other parking companies). Aldi store manager was cooperative and took parking charge referenace number and a copy off of me and said discuss with her manager. Couple of days later (today) she called back and said they don't have a way to waive off the charge/intervene and they won't pay for me as we did not spend the entire time in Aldi.
What are my options? And how is the 14 days calculated (is it from the date I received the letter or when the letter creation date)?
Any guidance is very much appreciated, TIA.

When I speak to them, should I "ask if they can help in the matter" or "complain" like an angry customer who's not happy about the situation?0 -
Do what the first hyperlink in the NEWBIES thread shows that others have done over the years in successful complaints.
It's linked there to show everyone what to put in these complaints, and saves us having to discuss individual complaints.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi All, here is an update.
Having spent couple of days looking for the right person who manages the car park on behalf of the owners, once I was in contact with them, they were able to help cancel the PCN. We are successful!! I say we, because I couldn't have done it without your help and guidance.Thank you and please keep up the good work.
