I am thinking about joining E Toro and investigating a very small amount £200 - £300 in Bitcoin. i will be in it for the long term i.e. 5+ years so not looking at shorterm.
just wanted to know if anyone has experience of investing in Bitcoin ./ E Toro. I know Bitcoin is very volatile hence why i am investigating a very small sum.

I have some Bitcoin on eToro and find it very good, I believe it is the safest exchange for UK users and is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in the UK, however they do make it very clear that Bitcoin/crypto is not regulated.
Find the app to be very good and intuitive, and they do seem to make it a little more interesting than others I use.
Also as it offers free trades it should be cost effective for small trades, although the spread I find to be wider than elsewhere so maybe more expensive on larger trades.

I suggest take a look at Kraken. Very competitive fees and a great reputation in crypto circles.1

If you are going to buy bitcoin for long term keeping, do not store it in online exchange. Buy, withdraw to your own wallet. Not your keys, not your coins.

I know Bitcoin is very volatile hence why i am investigating a very small sum.I have been using eToro to buy major Cryptos since a few years ago. But the sum is small less than £5k in total. I keep mounting it using a DCA in the amount of less than £100 when there is dip and a proper time to buy based on technical analysis.I am using eToro because I already use eToro to buy/sell stocks, commoditises so buying cryptos is just additional. They are reasonably good and meet my needs. If you need to by a large quantity probably you might need to use a more appropriate platform such as Binance, Coin base, Kraken etc and think about where to store it.0
