Nationwide BS ISA Internal Transfer

I'm looking to transfer a variable cash ISA with Nationwide to a 1yr Fixed rate, however, it looks like I need to make an appointment in branch and they are extremely busy at the moment. Surely this could simply be done online as an internal transfer as I have done with other BS. Has anyone else experienced similar issues?

If my memory doesn't fail me, long time ago I had two ISAs with NW and they told me that I could just transfer money online from one to another.

I think you can just open the new Fixed Rate ISA and then transfer money from your existing ISA. Nationwide treat all ISAs that a particular customer has with them as one single "Portfolio Cash ISA".
