Sky Broadband Shield vs McAfee

I've just moved to sky broadband. It gives me Broadband Shield included in the price. They also have McAfee that I can pay for in addition.
What's the difference? (I did phone them to ask, and they seem similar). Do I need both, or am I OK with Broadband Shield alone?
Also, I already have the free AVG on my laptop, and am not sure whether to remove it or leave it. I don't have anything else on my Chromebook, and I've read that nobody ever hacks into Chromebooks!
Any suggestions on whether I need to pay for McAfee as well as Broadband Shield?

Don't pay for any.
Windows defender is more than good enough.
All you are doing by adding more of these is slowing your system down.Life in the slow lane3 -

Any suggestions on whether I need to pay for McAfee as well as Broadband Shield? You don't need any of them.If you have Windows 10 you have a solution already built in.Re: hacking you're more likely to get struck by lightning than "hacked" in any true sense of the word.Online accounts - more likely but since you don't control any of that security around it, that's more their problem.2 -

Yes. Uninstall AVG. Reboot and make sure Defender is switched on.
