Credit Balance with OVO

I have nearly £900 credit. The DD is £234 per month after reducing it from £314. We only use approximately £150-£220 a month energy. I have enquired about a refund of at least half the sum and their system will only let me have £153 and says I must keep 3 months DD  payments in credit. I thought that as this is basically our money we should be able to request at least half the amount held refunded. Any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated

Welcome to the forum.  Consider changing to Variable DD (aka Whole Bill Monthly DD).
Of course, this will result in low bills in summer and high ones in winter but at least you'll be in control.

Try switching to another supplier who generally treats their customers a little better. My suggestion would be Octopus.

Pretty much the same in our houshold with Ovo (automatically migrated from SSE). £295/month DD yet peak bill over winter was £230. They will only allow refund on balance over £885.
