Despite Natwest group (Natwest, RBS, Ulster) professing to only pay out 1 switch bonus per person between them, they're so disorganised and seemingly systematically database incompetent that they all paid out each time to both myself and my wifeDoes that mean I might be eligible for RBS or Ulster account despite being banned by NatWest? I did an eligibility check for Ulster credit card about a month ago, and indeed was eligible! I'm not eligible for NatWest credit card. I asked their CS about this and they said it may show as eligible but it would later be picked up by the system and my account would be closed. If their systems are not that good at picking up these things, maybe I should try anyway?
Once you've dealt with 'Cora' their ridiculous chatbot that's about as much use as an ash tray on a motorbike, you soon realise that their IT department is 'just not up to it'.0 -
Yeah managed to do all 3. just waiting for payout on Ulster (longest process of any switch, be prepared). Wife done RBS, Natwest for some strange reason didnt like her but it seems Ulster has. Not bad going.Save saynoto0870.com in your favorites, and stop giving companies more £££ dialling 0870 numbers when you can dial freephones or cheaper alternatives
call your credit card company, tell them that you want to leave, 99% of the time theyll lower your APR%
Remember when that Bank Manager or Salesperson smiles at you, all he sees is £ notes. Dont forget the motto, "the wider their grin, the more debt your in"0 -
You've been able to get First Direct/HSBC switches despite having accounts with the sister bank beforehand?0

On one of the switches I did, the donor account was probably open for no more than a day before it was used to jump to another bank. How marvelously daft is that?
You might not care about being banned now, but you never know when a bank will come out with an interesting offer.0
