Fiesta Ecoboost 1.0 Recon engine recommendations please.
My 2 daughters were driving home from London when the engine just stopped.
Seems a new engine is needed. New from Ford is way too costly so looking to get a reconditioned engine.
Can anyone help & recommend a respected supplier of recon engines for 2015 Ford Fiesta 1.0 Ecoboost.
Btw garage has said a piston has gone on cylinder 2. Too expensive to strip & rebuild, a recon engine is advised. They only have 1 supplier of recon engines who currently don't have any available.
Thankyou.

Best place for info is probably the 'Ford Ecoboost Nightmare' group on Facebook.
They should be able to find someone who can repair at a far lower cost, then decide whether they want to keep the vehicle or get rid of it...1 -
Puma speed sell them for £2040 or fully fitted for £3039.

Have you actually spoken to a ford dealer?. if this is whats known as a wet belt engine, they do go wrong and its a known problem.
speak to ford and see what they say.

I am having problems with Focus 2.0 tdci and it is going to Ford for their diagnostics.
I have already played it out in my head re expensive repair vs a very expensive newer used Ford!
A few K repair seems crazily more strategic and viable than paying a fortune for an unknown car.0 -
Twice bitten… why would you go for a newer ford, clearly they are not reliable cars.0
