Hi

I am living in Egypt.

I get my state pension into my Nationwide account every 4 weeks.

It was due Monday 1 May, and has still not been sent.

Just wondering if anyone knows is it because of the bank holidays, Coronation?

My MIL is non-resident and hers suddenly stopped earlier this year.  We assumed she had not responded to a proof of life or some other correspondence but DWP confirmed that was not the case.  The could not see what had gone wrong but they called her and got it sorted in a few minutes on the phone...

They still haven't answered my email.

Do you think they will?

If I call on my mobile from Egypt and they put me on hold it will cost a lot.

They will answer the email at some point but who knows how long it might take. 

You could use the Skype App on your phone to call.  Not free but if you do it when connected to WiFi at home it should be reasonable.  When we call the MIL in the US, I think it's a couple of pence per minute.

Also, if you have MS365 Family on subscription, you get 60 Skype minutes per month per user - well as a UK user you do...

They replied yesterday.

They said they had stopped my pension because they sent me forms to complete and return, which I never received.

My friends and family when I first arrived in Sharm sent me birthday cards and Xmas cards.  I never received any of them. 

They sent me an email with 2 pdf's which I have to fill out and get witnessed from my Egyptian bank.

But on the page I have to fill out, it says what is your address if different from page one.

There is no page one.

And they say I have to return the forms in their envelope enclosed, which wasn't.

I have friends going back to the UK next week.

If they send them in an ordinary envelope will they receive them?

Something similar happened to my MIL.

I guess the things are missing because they attached copies to an email. 

I would complete the form and put your address in the box, even if you think they already have it, then stick the forms in an envelope, address it to the Pension Service and get your friends to post it from the UK.
