Have today received an offer from the above card co stating that can offer me a cc of a limit up to £1600 and will help repair my credit history.
Talk about mis marketing. I have an excellent credit history and have always been able to get the very best credit cards and why thse !!!!!! heads would think I needed one of their cards, heaven knows.....
Also note this company is a sub of Halifax.

There's worse than that out there, like these.
While it is mis-marketed they don't know about your circumstances as they are not allowed to do a credit search without your permission. Instead they mail people who have, for example, signed up for the CRA consumer credit rating schemes.0
