Portable shower?

So they're typically marked as useful for camping but equally I see it as this:
I have two mixer showers
Very rarely, the combi boiler will conk out. The alternative to shower then, is to use a portable shower where you boil some kettles and add cold water into a bucket
I'm not then sure what's decent to buy, for such an occasion? I know the very very cheapest solution is a bucket and a jug but it's nice to have an actual shower

The other possibility is to have a very basic electric shower installed in one of showers, in addition to the existing mixer. Then if your gas boiler is down you can still get a shower. If possible position the unit so that its hose will also reach the hand basin as well.waqasahmed said:So they're typically marked as useful for camping but equally I see it as this:

I didn't realise you could have both a mixer AND an electric in the same place? Though a portable shower would still be cheaper anyway?Undervalued said:

I have used one of those portable camping showers. You fill up the container (usually a black bladder type thing), leave it out in the sun to heat up, then use. Don't expect an invigorating shower with masses of hot water. More like a luke warm dribble that barely rinses any soap suds off.If you want a back-up shower system at home, fit a proper electric shower. I'd recommend the Triton T80 Thermostatic - Not the cheapest, but well worth it for the thermostatic control.Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

I wasn't expecting anything like a regular mixer shower. I know portable showers aren't amazing which us why I posted here ie: I'd like the best out of a bad bunch essentiallyFreeBear said:I have used one of those portable camping showers. They're useful for their very niche uses ie: for camping, and as an emergency backup0
