I used to grow this. Lovely addition as it would come summer first year of planting and then reliably in spring.
Meant that you could have broccoli for a longer season with annual sowing plus those left in.

Then the seed wasn't available, virus of somesuch.
Now I see its available again and am keen to grow it again.
Anyone tried this recently?
Is it good and reliable?

I had one huge plant that went on for 5yrs or so.

I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

Just bought some seed last year but haven't grown it out yet. I believe it's actually a cauliflower but.....

Had two plants for about five years and it kept me in greens all spring.

Also grow perennial kale, huge bushy plant that looks like forage kale but is sweet and tender. Keeping the pigeons off is a nightmare but it recovers. That's good all year.

Thanks Ras, I heard about perennial kale just this year but it looked like big tough leaves on the TV.
    So good to know.

They both sound like a good idea with my tiny garden and the cold springs we seem to be getting to germinate seeds.

Keeping pigeons off, 2 things I've found work.
Netting with canes as stakes. About 18"-2ft high net as a fence around. They can't or wont get inside.
If your greens are enormous they may perch on them though. But are usually put off by the net.

For small gardens, I've found that childrens windmills, especially the foil ones, stop them. They see well but this confuses their sight.
    Makes interesting shopping  :)
