Proof of address: Selling, lodging, buying

Hi
House sold (subject to contract). If all goes well I'll be lodging with a friend and then buy a house.
Question is how do I proof my address when I buy my next house as the lodgings are all inclusive so my name won't be on any bills.
Any suggestions on how to get round this please?
Thank you in advance.

You use another method e.g. bank statements, tax correspondence or whatever other official things are accepted by whoever is asking. I can't remember anybody saying that only a utility bill is acceptable.0

Can you use a c/o address of your solicitor? As assume all your documents will show an address of a property you have sold, so not your current residence (lodgings).

Maybe update your address for your bank account / credit card. (That would be a good idea, as it will update your address on your credit reports, which will help with mortgage credit reference checks.)
Do you plan to get added to the electoral roll at the friend's address? That might help with credit reference checks as well.
Maybe update your driving licence - if you have one. Mobile phone contract? Any other accounts that appear on your credit report?

If you mean people wanting your address for proof of ID etc, no your solicitor's address isn't going to be any use. They want to know where you actually live (as will your solicitor!).Yes also will speak to solicitor see if I can get some kind of C/O thing - good idea.1 -

Great thanks that gives me enough to work on - I'm sure it will be ok - just never moved this way before and trying to anticipate things a little.
