Friday: I ordered an iPad 9th Gen costing £480 from Argos & to be delivered the next day
Saturday @ 1.20pm Text message
Driver 8 minutes away
Saturday @ 5.11pm Text message
Driver 5 minutes away
Sunday. I call Argos explaining that my parcel was never delivered. I was told if I call back tomorrow (Monday) they can at least tell me where my parcel was left or left with
Monday (I’m totally rattled at this stage)
Im now told an investigation will take till Friday for a decision.
Im absolutely fuming because Argos have taken money from my debit card.

There’s no point in an investigation by Argos. A high value parcel requires a signature from the customer at their door.
Making me wait till Friday for a decision isn’t acceptable

Of course they need to investigate. I can't remember the last time a signature was taken, must be about 3 years ago now.Considering it's a bank holiday week, 3 days to investigate isn't that long.

Hello OP
You can give Argos another timeframe for delivery that is appropriate in the circumstances and if they still fail to deliver you may treat the contract at an end and they must refund in full without undue delay.
Their investigation isn't really anything to do with you but of course if you gave them 7 days to deliver that gives them time to investigate.
One thing that is unclear from your post is whether the tracking updated to delivered or not?In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0 -
Why do you need to over complicate matters such as this? The OP's best bet is to wait 2 days, find out what Argos have to say and then come back for advice if needed. They might call on Friday and say 'Really sorry, the item got lost, we'll send a new one out straight away or refund you if you like'Hello OP
