£6000 savings clarification and industrial injury disablement/PIP

I was filling in the benefits quiz but when it says Savings it seems to refer to yourself and partner but no other family members eg parents, is that correct?
Also, is there a timeframe for claiming industrial injury disablement benefit?
Are you supposed to claim IIDB and PIP?
If I was given PIP without applying for it but when it came around to being reassessed I could not get past replying to the letter at the last stage, so it has been on hold for years I've got enough problems I don't need to be dealing with that utter rubbish! It seems to me if I applied for IIDB it would be over and done with, and I could concentrate on getting better instead of being forced to look at how depressing my existence is!

Neither PIP nor IIDB are means tested, so savings are irrelevant.
You can claim both. However IIDB, is taken into account as income for some means-tested benefits such as UC (unlike PIP).
I'm sorry, I can't understand your question either. What is this "benefits quiz" you refer to?Alice Holt Forest situated some 4 miles south of Farnham forms the most northerly gateway to the South Downs National Park.1 -
Thank you very much for both of your help, I was hoping that if I went down the IIDB route I would not have to do PIP. Benefits quiz is the benefits calculator.

PIP help — MoneySavingExpert Forum
Previous thread clearly states the OP has had two PIP assessments, the second was a nil point which stopped the PIP claim.
OP you were advised to complain did you do so? Is your PIP from a new claim, however on hold because you've not sent back the paperwork, is not on hold its incomplete. At what stage do you believe its on hold.
The way PIP works is there is a review date fixed, regardless of the injury, illness or disease. Yes as you already know you have to go through a re-assessment each time that review date comes up. Which can go from complete the questionnaire and the assessment is done without you involvement or you complete the questionnaire and have to go through a telephone assessment. Either way you need to complete the questionnaire and in some cases provide evidence.
PIP assessments do not have access to your GP or hospital records, you have to provide any supporting documents. Hence the question where is your PIP "on hold"?
If you cant deal with it, then please do get help, because if you don't you wont get PIP.
IIDB is also applied for and not automatically payed, so either way which ever you decide is easiest/best for you, youll need to apply and I believe be assessed. If assessed as 14% disabled then you will be awarded IIDB and you can get between £41.51 and £207 a week. Depending on your assessment. So just like PIP its not a given you will get it.
As mentioned PIP is not means tested as it there to support people in daily live including work, so not effected by your savings, looking at IIDB it doesn't mention saving thresholds. UC has a £6000 and £16000 threshold, the elater being when your claim stops. You may be able to claim for other benefits, best advice is to use a benefit checker.
To answer your questions.
1) Time frame - what what I can see there is no time frame for IIDB to be claimed, I would argue that a lot of the diseases it notes are more long term diseases (e.g pneumoconiosis (asbestosis exposure) and are likely to develop years after the exposure.
2) Claiming IIDB and PIP - Nothing says you cant, PIP is for help with daily living and IIDB is for illness or disability caused by industry or employment. So two separate processes. There's nothing stating if you get IIDB you get PIP. You'd have to applied separately
3) Family and Partner savings - mainly applies to UC where you apply as a couple, if your using a benefit calculator it will take into account both yours and your partners earnings and savings to calculate means tested benefits. It wont ask for family savings however be carful as if you have a child with £16000 saved there may be questions as to where it came from and you may need to prove its not yours just put in their name to avoid the means tested cap.
Good Luck!
