Flat roof repair?

Hi all,
This might appear silly, but I have zero DIY knowledge and was hoping for some feedback.
My dad built a new extension at the back of the house a couple of years ago and I usually go up to the flat roof to clean it every so often. This time when I went up I noticed it looked like some of the coating was fading in some errors (very minor) but that was one area of more concern.
This is a photo taken from the bathroom looking across the roof:

This is the area directly under the bathroom window:

I was surprised to see that I could see some of the wood under there, there were a few other little spots where some wood was visible but those were tiny. I mentioned to my dad to check with the builder what coating they used so we could look at recoating/repairing it. However, he said just to find something online and paint over it. I think part of the reason he didn't want to talk with the builder is that he's had his fair share of arguments with him.
I've been Googling to try and work out what kind of roof it is and it looks like a fibreglass roof but I'm not sure. My dad said the builder told him it should be fine for 10 years but fibreglass roofs should last longer (according to Google). I was thinking of buying some outdoor waterproof paint to cover the area but without knowing what I'm going over, I don't know if it will be suitable. The majority of the roof looks fine and there are no leaks but I'm worried that it could cause issues down the line and would be best sorted now rather than going through another winter.
I'm seeking some advice if anyone has any experience in this area. Does it look like a fibreglass roof, what alternatives could it be? I was considering contacting some roofers to come and quote for a repair but I'm worried I'm going to look like an idiot if it's just a simple job or if it's not fibreglass and something else.

Looks like a plywood flat roof structure finished with acrylic roof paint and they have skimped on the job.
There are various acrylic paints manufactured for sealing new flat roofs which when applied correctly will last years so it may need doing again.
