Martin you’re being used on Facebook again. Scammers are using Ethereum and BitwestGroup as a cover, made a deposit to Bitwest last night and rung my bank to cancel payment this morning. I got 2 messages from Mombasa on WhatsApp this morning and that was that. No harm was done payment retrieved and lesson learned. Fb should be patrolling their site better it’s a joke ! Need to be sued again maybe

Are you saying you sent some money to this unknown company advertising on Facebook, just because a celeb ( Martin) recommended it ( even though they didn't) ?
Suggest in future never to respond to any ads for financial products on social media and read this forum more often !

If I just google 'bitwest', the top result is trustpilot which is filled with reviews of people attesting that it is a scam, dating back over the last 3 weeks.
Conversely, even if you were the first to hear about the potential scam website and there is no smoking barrel like above - then the lack of reputability would still serve as an indication you should not invest.
We can continue to try to 'tell martin' every time someone falls for one of these scam ads (which unfortunately, is very often), or we can encourage people to proactively research companies before they invest in them.
Disclaimer - fake review sites (and fake reviews) exist, don't rely on just one review or unreputable sites.
To be honest, the easiest rule might be avoiding any cryptocurrency investment with a celebrity promoter. Even 'legitimate' cryptocurrencies backed by influencers generally end up being rug pulls.
