Quick calculation based on you saying the difference between the cash and voucher offer is £300, are we looking at a holiday somewhere in the region of £3300, cash offer £600, voucher offer £900?
It's an initial offer though so it's worth going back and asking for more. Explain why you feel you need more as compensation such as loss of facilities, less choice of restaurants etc. And add on your expenses separately to any compensation.
You say you feel TUI broke the contract you had with them, but their T&C's do allow them to change your accommodation as long as it is to the same standard in the same resort. You don't mention where you were moved to, if you're willing to post that people may be able to give a view on whether the alternate meets those requirements (it will only be a personal view - but these are the things you'd face by complain to ABTA or small claims court)
Are you in touch with any other guests who were there at the same time? Might worth seeing if there's any Facebook groups or anything - you might be able to find out what others have been offered. As I said before the initial offer at least suggests TUI are taking this seriously.0 -
When you look at the arithmetic of the holiday costs , as mentioned above, the flights make up a significant proportion before you add on the hotel, board and transfers. You did have the flights and transfers (less local taxi) parts of the package - so no compensation due there. Therefore it's the change of accommodation, temporary sub standard meals and loss of add on facilities aspects of the deal that are relevant.Personally I would bodyswerve any vouchers - the cash amount above, if accurate I'd seriously consider.Be wary of what goes on social media - anecdotal reports are often unreliable.1

OP are you saying that you paid for those activities, or did you go without them?
If you paid for them you could reasonably expect TUI to cover the cost, because they were supposed to be included in your holiday.
If you didn't pay for them it's trickier. You could have made the holiday better by still doing those things, unless you genuinely couldn't afford them.
TUI would probably argue that you didn't take the opportunities presented to you, which is not their fault.

We did a couple of activities but not as many because of the cost0
