You can check who your has supplier is here: Find My Supplier Check that it is Shell.
You should be able to work out how much gas you've used based your final meter reading with Pure Planet and today's reading. You'll have to then estimate what the readings would have been at the various rate changes to see what the actual bill would be. If you have a smart meter that's connecting with the DCC then you may be able to recover some historic readings.
Then it's up to you whether you fess up or not. I imagine someone will realise eventually. Switching is unlikely to help you get away with it as someone said above.0 -
You've not submitted a gas meter read since 2021 then?
Calculating the bill is perfectly simple. The supplier will (eventually) have the opening and closing reads and will pro-rata the usage to calculate the no. of units used at each price increment across the billing period.No free lunch, and no free laptop
